Artists and Theorists views on the use of their nude-selves in art
Artistic and theorist reflection on works,
affect the representations of the female flesh of the body that achieve a verifiable
reality for thought and to attain visions of the self which exist in the world.
When reality is bought together with the artist and the viewer, the concept of
art becomes consciously constructed and real. the representation of the body
shown in works may dominate the perception on the relationships it shares with
the viewers, which depends on how one see themselves The empowerments of voice
emancipate equality, representates and recognises the necessary acts and issues
that questions ideologies.
leaves one to take on the role of self and
portray the self as a symbolic extreme as well as real. When using themselves
the artists hold the key to their own works, they hold the power, the freedom
and the purpose, they choose the medium or method to express their processes,
their work is real to them.
The objects of carried meaning reduces art as
the linguistic language that defines the structure, basically meaning that art
has no structured meaning it just exist in any form that it is put in, the
artists may use words, instructions, numbers, spoken, written, photography,
film, paintings etc… to create an image or thought within the mind of the
viewer. Concept of the self, is when a person develops a view of themselves due
to the experiences in their lives, this is described as the goal for ones own
existence, but if the experiences and the knowledge gained are new they become
powerful self-actualisations;
…‘knowledge is a tool that is used to
understand many aspects of our lives and identity needs to be understood from
outer and inner experiences.’.. 3. What is “real”? Smail claims that
the “real” if confrontated, is isolation, despair and self-actualisation which
perhaps forms life experiences whereby we seek to recreate a new self to
confirm our existence in reality we have become objects of consumption or exploited by
laws which is universal as well as real and
this becomes our existence. What is “normal”? Smail’s views are that the norms is based on
order and laws to prevent chaos in society but it can also produce positive or
negativity within certain sanctions.
What
is “extreme”? artists behind these extreme arts believe their works are based on
their desire to communicate alternative visions of themselves and their
experiences by using the body as the subject, an idea becomes significant and
idealized, which reflects and administers desires, beauty and power. The representations of the
female body are expressed by female subjectivity through displacement of self. Extreme in the sense when women were defined as mediums of communication for diverse
consumption and artist eventually became the self as observer and observed. So extremism depends on your view of reality
