software’s and business studies. During this course Ruth’s work was exhibited at the Parfait Gallery at Croydon College in 2001 and in 2002, and also at a group exhibition in 2005. After completing her BA (Hon) in 2005, Ruth has been commissioned by a business organization to paint a mural and has had several customized requests from the general public. Ruth uses her art to express her thoughts and feelings and many of her works display her life experiences.  Other pieces are also based on her interpretations of certain parts of the body and how they are viewed, and her most recent exhibition took place at Fairfield Halls in 2008 where she chose the theme Exploitation. Ruth also collaborated with two other artists from Nigeria Adetayo Shoyemi and Ayoola Odupitan in February 2009 in a group called the ‘kreative minds’ the exhibition theme was titled ‘Exploitation of the internal mind’ they exhibited in Terrakulture, Victoria Island in Nigeria,  these exhibitions focused on how today most of us rely heavily on advertising contents rather than the quality of life, which can also be alienating to the individual, as a society, she believes that we should be more objective to certain aspects of issues and subjects that are placed in our environment. The group then bought the exhibition back to London and exhibited art works based on the same subject theme ‘Exploitation of the internal mind’. Exploitation needs to be acknowledged and not ignored.
